Dear Multiply,

Hey! Its been a while. I'm SUPER sorry for breaking your heart and switched to your competitors like FB, TUMBLR, TWITTER, BLOGGER etc. They offered a lot of deceitful features that made me give in. Anyway, your my oldest friend in cyberspace and I never forget you though I no longer visit here. I still appreciate all the moments we had since 2004 until last year.

I switched to blogger because its quite private there and I find it better when you share your thoughts without the need to tell the world that "I just expressed my thoughts". It felt better in a way that I myself do not expect that there are people who follows that blog. FB gave me a big lot and now, I have a 24x24 farm with hundreds of animals and trees. Would you believe that I got a castle already? Also, I get the chance to stalk my crushes there without them knowing that I do.  I also get to cyberly reunite with my HS classmates and friends, and get regular updates from them. Tumblr just released the art in me. I post edited pictures and messages that I believe and I find some friends who appreciate my work through reblogs and like buttons. Twitter on the other hand makes it easy for me to say random thoughts. Its just a text a way. I no longer need to log in to the web to do it. Thanks to my mobile phone service provider Globe that made it a lot easier or me.

I do not expect you to provide me with the same services the way they do. I love you for whatever you are to me. I am happy, contended and grateful for what is between us from then til now. My switch is in a way... I needed to see something new, to adapt to the rising trends and be aware of what's in and out of this generation. I do it not because I was pressured but because I want to see the beauty of new things, improvements, innovations and the greatness of God we see in the minds of others.

But guess what? I am happy that you've totally improved. I still remember how we work things out when you and I were just starting. It was pretty simple and yet you are there always ready to listen and note down every sentiment, rants and even keep my pictures. And thats what I just love about you. Do you know that when our 2 PCs crashed, I was so grateful that I uploaded everything right away and you stored it well up to now. That's just how great you are to me.

By the way, I am no longer the mushy person that I previously was. God taught me to balance my brain and heart. Today, I am always inspired to do everything right... for myself that may affect the lives of others too. I am sure you have the same advocacy right?

Well, just remember that you've been, you are and will always be a part of my long time cyber life .

You can visit me at my new station in blogger "akamafets.blogspot.com"

I shall see you there!

Til next time again!

Hello everyone!

Lately, I've been hooked into to cooking and gardening to the point that even when I was sick, I never stop on planning and thinking (and even doing) on how to improve our daily food meals and as well as to improve on the beauty of our little garden. Because of this addiction, which is by the way good, because my mom never had to think about these things at this point because its me whose in charge, I decide to put up a blog where I could post all new discoveries and rediscoveries which I myself have personally experienced while doing the hobby. I hope you could all pay a visit to those blogs although at this point, I am still constructing the lay outs and trying to properly articulate on the description of the blogs.

Flushing out gallstones

MANILA, Philippines—I cam across something that might interest everyone who loves to eat: A friend introduced me to a treatment used for expelling gallstones. With all the acid in the food and drinks we take in, we store calcium deposits in various forms. Gallstone is one of them.

Some of my friends said they had heard about this Chinese remedy, but most of them didn’t have any first-hand experience with it. Mickey said his brother, who was experiencing extreme pain, had tried it after he learned that he had gallstones. Refusing to go under the knife, he opted for this remedy—after which, the pain disappeared and hasn’t recurred since. This convinced me to try it. The instructions:

1. Drink four to five glasses of apple juice a day for five days. You may opt to consume four to five apples, as an option.

Warm water

2. No dinner on the sixth day. Take three glasses of apple juice until 4 p.m. At 6 p.m. of the sixth day, take 1 teaspoon of Epsom salt with a glass of warm water—and another at 8 p.m. And, at 10 p.m., mix half a cup of olive oil with half a cup of lemon juice, and drink.

In those six days, eat as normally as you would—except for the no-dinner rule on the final day.
Apple juice is supposed to soften the gallstones, while the Epsom salt with water relaxes the muscles and opens up passageways for the stones to pass. (Epsom salt can be found in many pharmacies). Thereafter, expect to go to the bathroom. Lastly, the oil will make it easier to evacuate.

The next morning, stones will “pass” through defecation, not via urination: They’re greenish in color—and they usually float. Five other friends followed my lead and got favorable results, as well.

Set in 2006, the film opens in Mumbai with a policeman torturing Jamal Malik (Dev Patel), a former street child from the Juhu slums. In the opening scene, a title card is presented: "Jamal Malik is one question away from winning 20 million rupees. How did he do it? (A) He cheated, (B) He's lucky, (C) He's a genius, (D) It is written." Jamal is a contestant on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (Kaun Banega Crorepati) hosted by Prem Kumar (Anil Kapoor). He has already won 10,000,000 rupees (about US$200,000) and has made it to the final question, for 20,000,000 rupees, scheduled for the next day. Following up on a tip-off from Prem Kumar, the police now suspect Jamal of cheating, because the other possibilities — that he has a vast knowledge, or that he is very lucky — seem unlikely. For almost every question, Jamal had a life experience that enabled him to answer it.

Jamal then explains that, while at least the question about Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan was very simple, he knew the answers of most questions by chance, because of things that happened in his life, conveyed in a series of flashbacks documenting the details of his childhood. This includes scenes of him obtaining Bachchan's autograph, the death of his mother during anti-Muslim violence (rekindling memory of the 1993 anti-Muslim attacks in Mumbai in the slums),[7] and how he and his brother Salim befriended Latika (Rubina Ali). He refers to Salim and himself as Athos and Porthos, and Latika as the third of the The Three Musketeers, the name of whom they never knew.

In Jamal's flashback, the children are eventually discovered by Maman (Ankur Vikal) while they are living in the trash heaps. Maman is a gangster (a fact they do not actually know at the time they meet him) who pretends to run an orphanage in order to "collect" street children so that he can ultimately train them to beg for money. Salim is groomed to become a part of Maman’s operation and is asked to bring Jamal to Maman in order to be blinded (which would improve his income potential as a singing beggar). Salim protects his brother, and the three children try to escape, but only he and Jamal are able to do so, catching up to a train which is departing. Latika catches up and takes Salim's hand, but Salim purposely lets go, and she is recaptured by the gangsters as the train accelerates away.

The brothers make a living, traveling on top of trains, selling goods, picking pockets, and cheating naive tourists at the Taj Mahal by pretending to be tour guides. Jamal eventually insists that they return to Mumbai since he wishes to locate Latika, which annoys Salim. They eventually find her, discovering that she had been raised by Maman to be a culturally talented prostitute whose virginity will fetch a high price. The brothers attempt to rescue her, but Maman intrudes, and in the resulting conflict Salim draws a gun and kills Maman. Salim then uses the fact that he killed Maman to obtain a job with Javed (Mahesh Manjrekar), a rival crime lord. Salim returns to the room where the three were staying and orders Jamal to leave. Jamal, knowing his brother is here to claim Latika as his own, attacks his brother violently before being overturned by Salim and confronted by a revolver as Salim threatens to kill him. Latika intervenes and tells Jamal to leave, breaking his heart and sacrificing herself to keep him safe. With Maman's men searching for Salim, Salim and Latika flee to an unknown location, leaving Jamal alone to fend for himself.

Years later, Jamal has a position as a "chai wallah" (tea server) at a call center. When he is asked to cover for a co-worker for a couple of minutes, he searches the database for Salim and Latika and succeeds in getting in touch with Salim, who has become a high-ranking lieutenant in Javed’s organization. Jamal confronts a regretful Salim on tense terms. Jamal asks him where Latika is. Salim, annoyed and bewildered that his brother still cares about her, responds she's "long gone." Salim invites Jamal to live with him, and after Jamal follows him to Javed's house, he sees Latika (Freida Pinto) there, and she also notices him. He bluffs his way in, pretending initially to be a dishwasher and then later a chef. Jamal and Latika have an emotional reunion, but elation quickly turns to despair after Jamal discovers that Latika is with Javed. Upon discovering this, Jamal tries to persuade Latika to leave. She rebuffs his advances and insists that he forget about her and leave, but instead Jamal confesses his love for her and promises to wait for her every day at 5 p.m. at Mumbai's largest train station, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (C.S.T.), until she comes. One day, while Jamal waits there, Latika attempts to rendezvous with him, but she is recaptured by Salim and Javed's men. Javed slashes her cheek with a knife as Salim drives off, leaving a furious Jamal behind with a crowd of onlookers.

Jamal again loses contact with Latika when Javed moves to another house outside of Mumbai. In another attempt to find Latika, Jamal tries out for the popular game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, because he knows she'll be watching. He makes it to the final question, despite the hostile attitude of the host who feeds Jamal a wrong answer during a break. At the end of the show, Jamal has one question left to win two crore, or 20 million rupees (about 400,000 U.S. dollars), but the host calls the police and Jamal is taken into police custody, where he is tortured as the police attempt to learn how he, a simple "slumdog," could know the answers to so many questions. After Jamal tells his whole story, explaining how his life experiences coincidentally enabled him to know the answer to each question, the police inspector calls Jamal's explanation "bizarrely plausible" and, knowing he's not in it for the money, allows him to return to the show for the final question.

At Javed's safehouse, Latika watches the news coverage of Jamal's miraculous run on the show. Salim gives Latika his phone and the keys to his car. He urges her to run away and to "forgive him for what he has done." The final question asked of Jamal is to name the third musketeer in the story of The Three Musketeers. When Jamal uses his Phone-A-Friend lifeline to call Salim, Latika barely succeeds in answering the phone in time and they reconnect. She does not know the answer to the final question, but she tells Jamal that she is safe and (in unsubtitled Hindi) says "I am yours" before the phone connection cuts off. Jamal simply guesses the correct answer (Aramis) to the question of the one musketeer whose name they never learned, and wins the grand prize. Simultaneously, Salim is discovered to have helped Latika escape and allows himself to be killed in a bathtub full of money after shooting and killing Javed. Salim's last words are "God is great." Later that night, Jamal and Latika meet at the railway station and they share a kiss. It is then revealed that the correct answer to the opening question is "D) it is written," implying that it is destiny. During the closing credits, Jamal and Latika — along with dozens of bystanders and even the juvenile versions of themselves — dance in the C.S.T. train station to the song "Jai Ho," the title of which epitomizes victory.

I was suprised when I saw our neighbor outside the house carrying the 4-month old child that she babysits.

She told me that she needed to bring her own child to a "manghihilot" since she(our neighbor's child) was having fever since yesterday after she fell of from their bed. So she asked me if she could live the baby with me for atleast an hour or less. I immediately agreed because I was excited to takecare of the child even for a short time.

Our neighbor left the child stuff's which includes two feeding bottles (1 for milk and 1 for water), extra clothes, 1 diaper. Thank God that the child was not the cry baby type so I hadn't had much difficulty doing the babysit. She only cries when you put her down because she was used to be carried in a "duyan". I asked my little sister to take some pictures so that I would have a remembrance that I was like a mother on a mother's day.

This is not my first time to babysit but since then I realized that it is never easy to raise up a child. I think its not just about giving them all the material things that they need but the goal is to make a Godly man/woman out of them. The world is cruel and evil, how are you going to protect their minds and hearts from the poisonous mindset of this world?

But we must stick to the truth that its is only in God to whom parents can depend and entrust the lives of their kids. Because in the beginning, He was the One who planned for their birth and so we must trust Him fo their lives. Parents can always connect kids to God through their fervent prayers and guidance.

Spent my weekends in Makati last week. It was fun especially last Friday night where I and the rest of my dorm mates had an intimate time to know each other well including the deep dark secrets. Like we had the chance to know what are their first impression of us and which of these are true. Of course, not all first impressions last so some were true and
some weren't.

On the succeeding days, Ate Riccia lent me her laptop so I had the chance to watch a number of movies that I failed to watch on the big screen which includes: Another Cinderella Story, Quantum of Solace (Two Thumbs Up), Prince Caspian, Now and Then(an old movie of Demi Moore), Over My Dead Body (Hilarious and Fun), and Confessions of a Shopaholic.

On evenings it's nice to think about what foods to eat and get the chance to cook for my friends and for them to cook for me too. I have always loved to stay here because everyone was so nice despite that each had their own characteristic--the good and the bad. Yet all their characters mold you into something better and lovely.

Anyway, whenever I say there, everything seems to be complete except for few things: my family, our plants and pets.

So last Monday evening when I went home: I couldn't resist to hug all our pets (including those that belongs to our neigbor that got close to me during my summer vacay). Whenever I'm in the metro, having pets is the one that I truly long for.. that's because in a dormitory... PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED :(

Anyway, upon my arrival, here is the first one who's so adorable and waits ssoooo patiently:
And here are the rest of them who loves to get hugs and kisses:

Cha-Cha and Bunso

Miming

Brown

Mimim the playful cat and Bulingot the playful dog!

They say that according to a survey, people who doesn't keep pets are the most number of people who die early. Don't you know that plants and pets are better than stresstabs? Plus they make you feel a lot comfortable and loved. You can tell them any secret without the fear that they might tell it to anyone, or you can rant on them anything you want to say withouht being given an advice nor critized. Sometimes, the silly things that they do make you laugh in the midst of a problem at school or work.  But such a relationship is also being worked out. If pets feel that they are loved and cared they won't hestiate to give their loyalty to you up to some extent of an animal's understanding. But just always remember that they are still animals and that they too have their own limitations. But the best way to win them is through their STOMACH! haha!

Stone Bridge Resort
April 19, 2009
Tumana Sta. Maria, Bulacan

I guess this ends my summer vacay for 09. I really waited for this day before finding another job as a finale to the longest vacation I had since I graduated from college.

It was totally ironic because the people who intially planned this outing weren't able to join because of the so called "woman's holidays". Sorry for them though. Also, this is the birthday of my one and only dog pet named Buddy however he can't come with us because pets aren't allowed inside the resort (i guess) and he is not a trained type of dog. So the funny thing there is that the celebrant was left at home.

Our night swimming is supposed to start at 5PM til 10PM however some of us went as early as 3PM to secure a good cottage. Some of our companions arrived around 6PM straight from work. It was an endless eating night and we also sang to videoke and unlimited picture takings. It was totally fun especially that both of my closest cousin were present which served as a reunion for the four of us. It was my second time in this resort. My first time was when I was a little girl so I don't really have a good memory of how Stone Bridge looked back then compared to now. I must say that the resort's appearance was cool because aside from pools, there were available playground for kids but my negative comment goes to the dirty and limited facility for comfort/shower rooms.

Baby Love of Nichole Scherzinger is the song that reminds me of this outing.

I hope we'll have a much fun outing next time...

Coz life gets better when it can't wait! :D

This year's vacation is somehow different from last year's.

Last year was a very lousy one compared to this year which was somehow colorful because I didn't allowed myself to get stucked inside the house the whole day. Add to the fact that I tried to listen to the lives of other people and learn from them and as I listen there is  a relationship that is built.

Last Monday, one of our caretakers left to retire in their province. He was not yet that old though but he decided to stay in the province to takecare of his old parents. But a piece of his heart was left with us, and it was his dog pets. We witnessed how his dogs were stressed after he left. Cha-cha, the eldest and the closest to him was barking all night waiting for him to comeback. This dog has been his bestfriend for more than 5 years and has helped him at work everytime a pig is lost from its pen. I've heard a thousand of stories regarding masters so much attached to his pets but never witnessed of a pet so stressed because of his attachment to his master. His master could not take him to his place because shipment of pet is too expensive for his budget so he had no other choice but to leave his pet here.

Anyway, check out pictures below because these are my most loved pet pictures!

Our neighbor was diagnosed with this condiiton at the early age of 16. She intially experienced Stomach ache, shoulder pains and loss of appetite. ULCER was  the first diagnosis of her Pediatrician, but her parents was forced to bring her to a nother Doctor because the pain would not be eased despite of the advises of the prior. Later it was diagnosed as gallstone after she had an ultrasound. It was also made clear tby the second doctor that the reason why the first Doctor diagnosed ulcer was because both of these conditions(ulcer and gallstone) have the same symptoms.

What causes gallstone? Intake of TOO MUCH animal fats and other oily foods.
Those who love to eat street foods and other oily stuffs are very prone to this condition..so beware...

CURE
The farm owner's wife who previously had a breast cancer but was now healed without undergoing any operation recommended them to take Apple Cider Vinegar as this will help in melting the stone and to take Activated Charcoal for removing toxins in our bodies.

OTHER STORIES
My mom also had the same condiiton back then. Fortunatrely, a miracle happened and ithere was no need for her to undergo any operation. And even if she eats fatty/oily foods, she no longer experience the same pains she previously had. It was actually  a personal encounter for her life and has proved that God gaves out miracles to those who 100% believe (99.9% not accepted). The miracle happened when my mom watched a healing ceremony over the television. The minister said that to anyone who experiences any kind of bad health condiiton  must raise its hand whether you are on the actual place or not. My mom although just watching on TV, with whole faith believed and was healed completely. Since then, her life and diet returned normal and did well.

We back at home, had learned to be extra careful this time. We rather eat vegetables and boiled foods rather than fried. "Prevention is better than cure" is the best quote to describe the reason why we chose to be warned rather than be stubborn.

We're still praying for her and was hoping that the next consultation will bring us all goodnews.

Please pray for her too. Thanks

Oh how I miss highschool!

If there's one part of this event that became memorable to me. It was the valediction speech where the batch's top student delvered his message and unveiled our eyes that his awards were fruits of his hard labor and motivated by the depression of losing his father and other crisis that entered their home.. but HE CHOSE TO SOAR HIGH ABOVE HIS CIRCUMSTANCES...

They say that everything about a person has been uniquely planned by God for a special purpose. I believe it!.. because there was the thumbmark. Can you Imagine that out of all the parts in our body, it was the thumbmark that God used to identify us all uniquely. And so we are all purposefullly different whatever maybe our color, shape of our eyes and nose, color of skin and hair, language and many more.

And so I thought of my nickname. Well, actually I got two nicknames which are differently used depending on my location.

At school and at work, I was used to be called "Mafets". The name was derived from my real name "Ma. Fe" wherein "ria" was removed from "Maria or (Ma.)" and was connected to "Fe" makin it "Mafe". "ts" was added to them because my closest friend back in my 1st yr high is a fan of then-famous-boy-band called "The Moffats". I was used to this nickname since I was in highschool but the other has been a part of me since I was a kid...

Back at home, our relatives, neighbors and some other people who's quite close to our family calls me "Love-Love". When I asked my mom why did she gave me a nickname far from my real name. She just answered me with a reason that she loves me. But I believe that God has His own reasons too why this nickname was given to me. Maybe I was called for love.. and this is so much interesting ever!!

The past days, I've been pondering on how to love others that goes beyond the purpose of romance. The other, other week my mom was ranting regarding some of our neighbors who keeps on splashing comments on us during those hard times we had when my pops left us. For sure, it was really hard for her but it was way more or less than 4 years ago. The culprit is gone and the issue has subsided so whats the point on remembering those days. Anyway, those neighbors and my mom are in good vibes now so what's the point on recalling those bad memories that will never help in building a better relationship.

So there, I thought of how God has Love unconditionally... He didnt loved us based on what we've done because if He did, then we could have been all doomed to eternal death. But that He didn't allowed and when infact, He made somebody pay for price of the sins we made. He didn't made just another someone do it, it was His Only Begotten Son. Who else in this world could do it but God alone..

And so this is my desire... to learn the ways of loving others.. UNCONDITIONALLY

I was asked by her mom to take photographs of her recognition. I immediately agreed because this kid is super close to me. I've been like next to her mom.. kulang na lang ninang.. but I loved her beyond any responsibility.

Kids are the most beautiful blessing on earth. You can either make a man or a monster out of them. So be careful when God has entrusted you with one because His desire is that you shall lead kids to love and appreciate God in their lives until such time that they are ready to commit their hearts to Him.
